The Role of Self-Concept in Manifestation
Many people focus on techniques like visualization and affirmations, but they miss the most important piece of the puzzle: their self-concept. Your self-concept is the collection of beliefs you hold about yourself. Are you worthy? Are you capable? Are you lovable? Your reality will always be a mirror of these deep-seated beliefs.
Your Outer World is a Mirror
If you believe you are not worthy of wealth, no amount of money affirmations will make you rich. You will unconsciously sabotage any opportunities that come your way. To manifest a new reality, you must first become the person who can have that reality. You must change your identity at a core level.
How to Change Your Self-Concept
You change your self-concept through repetition. Start by defining the new you. How does the version of you who has your desire think, feel, and act? Write it down. Then, begin to consciously embody those traits. Use affirmations that reinforce this new identity (e.g., "I am a confident and successful person"). Over time, your subconscious will accept this new identity as truth, and your reality will shift to match it.
